His Majesty Sultan Haji Hasanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Monday consented to receive in audience the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of France, His Excellency Renaud Muselier.  The audience took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.

His Excellency Renaud Muselier is in Brunei Darussalam on a short visit to deliver a message from the President of France, His Excellency Jacques Chirac.  During the audience, other bilateral issues and efforts to enhance relations between France and Brunei Darussalam were also discussed.

Also present during the audience were the Special Adviser to His Majesty at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa; the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Pehin Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Yahya and the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pengiran Dato Paduka Osman.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs also granted an audience to His Excellency Renaud Muselier.

His Royal Highness received in audience His Excellency Renaud Muselier at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan, Monday.  During the audience, His Royal Highness welcomed His Excellency and exchanged views on bilateral relations and a number of regional issues.
