His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal
Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of
Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah
Saleha are in the Malaysian State of Selangor Darul Ehsan to attend
the royal banquet marking the installation of His Royal Highness
Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Ninth Sultan of Selangor Darul
Ehsan.
The royal banquet took place at the
Royal Banquet Hall of Istana Alam Shah, Selangor. Upon arrival at
the Anjung Utama of the Istana, Their Majesties were greeted
by His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Sultan of
Selangor. Before proceeding to the banquet hall, Their Majesties
were introduced to the Selangor royal families and Selangor state
dignitaries.

The royal banquet was also
attended by His Majesty Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, the Yang
Dipertuan Agong of Malaysia and Her Majesty the Permaisuri Agong;
the Acting Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk
Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and wife; and other Malaysian rulers,
federal cabinet ministers and state dignitaries. Also in
attendance were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna and Yang
Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak
Haji Abdul Aziz.
His Royal Highness Sultan
Sharafuddin Idris Shah became the Ninth Sultan of Selangor
Dasrul Ehsan on the 21st November 2001 following the demise of
his father, the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj.
The installation and coronation ceremony of His Royal Highness
was held last Saturday at Istana Alam Shah.
