The Ministry of Defence will
organise a Brunei-China Long Distance Bicycle Expedition on
Saturday, the 15th March. The event, held in
conjunction with His Majesty’s 57th birthday
anniversary, will be launched at the Taman Haji Sir Omar Ali
Saifuddien in the capital.

Eight people led by Colonel Haji
Mohammad Said bin Haji Mohd. Saidin, will take part in the
expedition. The expedition is sponsored by 36 firms in the
country and was launched by the Director of Administration and
Manpower, Ministry of Defence, Awang Haji Jamaluddin bin Haji
Saman, who is also the chairman of the expedition.
The eight to nine thousand
kilometer route will pass Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos,
Vietnam and the People’s Republic of China.
The project is also to collect
funds for institutions and organisations, as well as Pengiran
Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Orphans Fund, KACA and PAPDA
Associations. |
