BSP hosts Global Reservoir Engineering and Petrophysical Conference

 

Brunei Shell Petroleum, BSP, is hosting the Global Reservoir Engineering and Petrophysical Conference.  The conference is the first of its kind to be held in the country and Brunei Darussalam was selected due to its long-term success in applying technology in the oil business.  The conference was launched by the Managing Director of BSP, Mr. Chris Finlayson in Jerudong, Tuesday. 

Mr. Finlayson in his opening remarks, touched on BSP’s plan for profitability and growth.  Nearly two hundred delegates from shell operating units all over the world including participants from Brunei Petroleum Unit are attending the conference where over one hundred technical papers will be presented.  

 

.There will be also three demonstrations including a project demonstration from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to share technical learnings and to keep up with the shell group-wide technology. The conference is part of an ongoing drive for the oil and gas industry to further improve efficiency by learning from each other and sharing best practises.  The conference theme for this year is “Excellence In Reservoir Engineering And Petrophysics”.
