A Chinese family of four has embraced the Islamic faith.
The conversion ceremony for Awang Chan Chu Ooh and his
family took place Friday at his residence in Kampung Bukit
in the Tutong District.
Awang Chan Chu Ooh, 46 years
old, chose Awang Abdul Hariz bin Abdul Rauf as his Islamic
name. His wife and his two daughters also chose their
Islamic name respectively.

Officers from the Islamic
Dakwah Centre conducted their conversion ceremony. Awang
Abdul Hariz is an employee of the Tutong District Office.
He has 12 siblings and six of them, including him, chose
Islam as their new faith. Present at the ceremony was the
Tutong District Officer, Awang Hepnie.
