New Book Honours Late Vice-Chancellor’s Good Deeds

The former Vice Chancellor of University of Brunei Darussalam, Allahyarham Dato Paduka Seri Setia Professor Doctor Haji Mahmud Saedon was a leader and one of the country’s prominent figures, who brought a lot of changes towards the development of University of Brunei Darussalam.  To honour his good deeds, UBD launched a book Monday entitled “Jejak-jejak”.  

The book, one of the many projects conducted by UBD, is the compilation of eighteen working papers produced by the late Vice Chancellor.  Other projects still in progress include the production of a souvenir book, which will reminisce the good deeds of the late Vice Chancellor.  Doctor Haji Ismail went on to say that UBD will also produce a special production of books, which will focus more

on the activity and leadership aspect of the late Allahyarham during his duty as the Vice Chancellor of UBD. 

The book was launched by the Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz.  The book went on sale Monday at the reception of the Chancellor Hall, with hardcover editions selling for twenty dollars, and softcover editions for fifteen dollars.  From today until the 15th of this month, the book will be put on sale at the Brunei Academic Education of UBD with twenty percent discount.  The book will be also on sale at several shop outlets in the country soon.  The ceremony took place Monday at the university.
