Officers and personnel of the Royal Brunei
Police Force are asked not to take lightly the responsibility
entrusted upon them to safeguard the nation’s security. They must
also realize the importance of working closely together with peoples
from all walks of life in order to accomplish the task. The
Commissioner of Police, Dato Paduka Seri Haji Abdul Rahman, underlined
this at the parade ceremony to celebrate the 83rd Police Day Monday.

Dato Haji Abdul Rahman said the force is
currently facing many new challenges that are far different from those
faced a decade ago. Today, crimes such as terrorism, transnational
crimes and others require police personnel to handle them with
competency.

Ten personnel of the force received
certificates of appreciation from the Police Commissioner. The event
was highlighted with a combat drill and a tatoo performance. The
ceremony was held at the Police Training Centre in the Police
Headquarters in Gadong. |
