For the first time, ten male students -
six from University of Brunei Darussalam and four from the Brunei
Institute of Technology were selected to participate in the
International University Students Camp programme, which will be held
in Saudi Arabia. They left the country Monday.
Present at the airport to bid them
farewell were the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Dato Seri Utama
Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Mohammad Zain and Deputy Minister of
Education, Dato Paduka Haji Suyoi, as well as the Ambassador of Saudi
Arabia, His Excellency Esam A. Abid Al-Thagafi. |

In an interview with RTB, the Ambassador
of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Esam A. Abid Al-Thagafi said that the
main objective of the programme is to connect students from all over
the Islamic world to communicate and exchange views with each other.
The students from various faculties are among students from ten
countries all over the world who are participating in the camp
programme for International Islamic Youths organised by the Saudia
Arabia government. The two-week programme, which began Monday, will
be held until the 11th of next month.
