Government cracks down on illegal roadside stalls

His Majesty's government has underlined the importance of respecting and adhering to regulations as stipulated by the authorities for the community's well-being. Vending along roadsides does not only pose safety hazards to other road users but also to the vendors themselves.

Saturday night, several government agencies carried out an operation demolishing roadsides stalls that had been set up at Kampung Bengkurong without permission. Also involved in the operation was the Public Works Department. The illegal roadsides stalls sell daily needs such as vegetables and even food and drinks.

The action was part of the government's effort to maintain the beauty and integrity of the neighbourhood.
