Over 460
government officers in B2 EB 3 group scale sit for General Order Exam |
| |
 |
|
More than 460
government officers in the B2 EB 3 group scale sat for the General Order
Examination, Friday. It took place at the Universiti Brunei
Darussalam. A pass in the bi-annual General Orders Examination, held in
June and December, is a condition for promotions and confirmation of
posts in the B3 groups 3 and 2 salary scale or its equivalent. In the
past year, the percentage of candidates who passed the exam increased
from 41 percent in December 2006 to 67 percent in June 2007. This
obvious increase owes to the initiative of the Civil Service Department
for holding briefings on the aspects of the General Order, in
preparation for the exam. |
|
Among the
contents of the General Order are aspects of appointments, promotions,
conduct and behaviour as well as actions that can be taken towards
government officers for misconduct in civil service. |
