A H1N1 Influenza more stable and decreasing
The Minister of Health says the A H1N1 Influenza
situation in the country is more stable now and the
number of cases decreasing. Yang Berhormat Pehin
Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji
Suyoi disclosed this, in an interview with RTB,
following a Kesyukuran and Hajat Prayer ceremony in
conjunction with the Silver Jubilee of the Raja Isteri
Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, Thursday. Yang Berhormat
Pehin said his remark is based on the fact that there
were 11 news cases on Wednesday, and Thursday with only
three cases. However, the Minister said, what is quite
worrying is the condition in neighbouring country,
Malaysia where H1N1 infections and the number of deaths
from the disease are on the increase. The same situation
has been reported in Thailand and other neighbouring
countries. This is why the Ministry of Health is giving
the statistics, so that people in Brunei are well aware
of the current situation. Although the current condition
in the country is somewhat under control, Yang Berhormat
Pehin hoped that such a condition would continue. At the
same time the ministry advised people in the country to
postpone visits to the neighbouring countries unless
absolutely necessary. If so, they are to take the
precautionary measuresby observing strict personal
